From placing your order to your first xcodebuild, typically under 15 minutes

Examples show suitable workflows by team type; they do not imply customer endorsements or partnerships. Start builds, regression tests and delivery checks on your own dedicated physical machine.

DEDICATED · PHYSICAL · MAC MINI

One Mac mini per order,
never shared with other tenants

Your own M4, exclusively

CPU, memory and storage are never shared. Keep build caches, dependencies and test environments on the same machine. When troubleshooting, you can focus on your own processes without guessing how other tenants' workloads might affect performance.

CPU / RAM / SSD → Dedicated physical resources

Physical machine, not a virtual machine

Metal and Neural Engine are available natively. Run GPU rendering tests and Core ML inference, and evaluate performance using your own datasets, OS versions and repeated test results.

VNC desktop and SSH access

Build from the command line and use the desktop for Simulator and Instruments. Find credentials in the machine details in your console. “Real hardware” refers to the physical Mac; remote physical iPhone or iPad devices are not included.

FROM ORDER TO TEST

Your first xcodebuild in four steps

Payment confirmation, machine delivery and project setup are separate steps. Under 15 minutes is a typical time to get started, not a guarantee for your project's first build. Check the console for actual delivery status.

01 · Configure your order

Choose a model and pay

Choose MetalBench 16 or MetalBench 24, then select a location and billing period. Review storage add-ons before paying; all prices are shown in USD.

Choose memory first, then billing period
02 · Wait for delivery

Get your IP and credentials

Check your order status after payment is confirmed. Once your machine is ready, find its public IP, SSH account and desktop connection details in the console.

USDT orders are processed after on-chain confirmation
03 · Connect

Connect over SSH or VNC

Use SSH to check the system and toolchain, then open the macOS desktop if needed. If you can't connect, check the IP, port and credentials first.

Connection settings aren't shown publicly
04 · Test your project

Run xcodebuild test

Clone your code, install dependencies, choose a simulator and run your tests. Start with one scheme, then add parallel jobs once it passes.

Save logs and test artifacts

Choose a plan for your workload

Test with a real project before deciding how much concurrency you need. Simulator count, dependency size and model context all affect memory use; configuration guidance is not a performance guarantee.

Workload, recommended configuration, billing period and why it fits
Workload Recommended configuration Suggested billing period Why it fits
Light builds
Single-app CI and simulator regression tests
MetalBench 16
M4 / 16GB / 256GB
Try it by the day Start with a single-scheme build. Check memory pressure and cache growth before deciding whether to keep the machine long term.
Everyday development
Multiple targets and VNC debugging
MetalBench 24
M4 / 24GB / 512GB
Monthly More memory and storage for DerivedData, dependencies and multiple toolchain versions.
Model inference
MLX quantized model experiments
MetalBench 24
Add 2TB SSD
Try it, then go quarterly Use the extra storage for models and datasets. Whether 7B–13B experiments will run depends on quantization, context length and actual memory requirements.
PRICING · USD

Two M4 configurations, daily to quarterly

Starting at $20.2/day. Both configurations are dedicated physical machines, with the same pricing at all 4 locations. Each billing period has its own price; monthly pricing isn't calculated by multiplying the daily rate.

Add-ons are charged separately. Thunderbolt 5 daisy chaining is priced per machine. Availability and supported configurations are confirmed by the console; review the full bill before ordering.

Available year-round

99.9%monthly uptime commitment, not historical monitoring data

Locations are designed to run year-round, 365 days a year. Uptime is calculated monthly. Confirm the start and end times of an incident and its handling record through a support ticket.

Illustrative 90-cell status barHistorical status data not connected

The dark berry color illustrates the normal status style. This bar is for demonstration only and does not claim uninterrupted service over the past 90 days.

If monthly uptime falls below 99.9%, receive service time equal to 10 times the duration of the outage.

If you can't connect, note the time, location and error message, then sign in to the console and submit a support ticket. Scope and exclusions are set out in the service terms.

BILLING

Two payment methods,
always billed in USD

Prices are listed and charged in USD, with no currency conversion. Before paying, check the model, location, billing period and add-ons. Available payment options are confirmed by the backend.

USDT-TRC20

Transfer the amount to the address using the network shown on your order. We process the order after on-chain confirmation; submitting a transaction does not mean it has been confirmed. Track progress in the console.

Visa / Mastercard / Amex

Payments are processed by Stripe. MetalVNC does not store full card numbers. Check the order status to confirm payment; don't rely on the browser's return page alone.

Daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly

Prepaid billing, from $20.2/day. For a short-term trial, start with daily billing; for ongoing use, compare the full-period prices.

Renew before your machine expires

Check expiration reminders and renewal invoices in the console. Before renewing, verify the machine and billing period. Confirm the configuration and back up your data before changing plans or adding storage.

Before you order

Check these four things first

Check what's included before choosing a configuration. Cloud Mac gives you remote access to a physical Mac, not every external test device. You'll need to provide your own project dependencies, certificates and business data.

How long does setup take?

Delivery is typically within 15 minutes of payment confirmation; check the console for actual status. USDT-TRC20 orders are processed after on-chain confirmation. Once the machine is ready, get your IP and credentials. Cloning large dependencies, downloading toolchains and the first build take additional time.

Is this a virtual machine? Are physical mobile devices included?

No. Each order provides a dedicated Mac mini M4, with CPU, memory and storage not shared with others. Run the macOS desktop, command-line tools and simulators. Remote physical iPhone and iPad devices aren't included; check requirements before testing with external devices.

Can I switch Xcode versions?

Manage toolchains to suit your project and use xcode-select to choose the developer directory. Before you start, check macOS and Xcode compatibility, available storage and project SDK requirements. Record versions in your pipeline to avoid using different toolchains in desktop and SSH sessions.

What happens to my data when my machine expires?

Check expiration reminders in the console and renew before your machine expires. Data on machines that aren't renewed is handled according to the service terms and order agreement; don't rely on post-expiration retention as a backup. Export your code, models, build artifacts and certificates before expiry. Submit a support ticket if you have questions.
